Gregory Stephen received his PhD degree from the Northeastern Physics Department in May 2019. His topic was “Heusler Spin Filters for Room-Temperature Spintronic Applications”. His work focused on synthesizing and studying the antiferromagnetic and electrical properties of the spin-filter material CrVTiAl. The semiconducting properties were measured up to magnetic fields as high as 35 tesla at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory in Tallahassee. He is currently employed by the Laboratory for Physical Sciences located at the University of Maryland.
